The publisher, Crescent - promotional book wing of Crown, - represented itself well on this publication because it is of much higher character than usual. With special consultant, James Beard, the book begins with Autumn and goes on through the four seasons. A section on "fundamentals" completes the book. Each recipe has a nice little introduction and the text is complemented with full color photos that really capture the harmony of a wholesome, country landscape. I have this cookbook in my personal library and refer to it more often than I do others. Recommended. This copy is in very good condition, dust jacket in protective cover. A little soil on the cover and yellowing of pages.
